A little ray of sunshine that was coming from the not completely closed curtains on Jamie’s room hit your face, waking you up. Every time you would come to stay with Jamie he would leave them a little open so the light would do exactly what it did today. You had come many times in the last two years to stay with them; it could be because of Sophie’s birthday, Christmas, summer among others. But this time was special. The stairs you were sitting on were cold. You had been waiting for Jack for half an hour now; thank God it wasn't snowing. Maybe he thought that was the least he could do for leaving you there.... Waiting for that surprise he said he had for you.
